• The Art Tour From 06 Jun 2004 - 25 Jul 2004 - Studios will be open on the following Sundays: 6th,13th,20th 27th June and 4th, 11th, 18th 25th July. Over 70 artists open their studios for the benefit of all interested persons. Free entry to gain an insight into the processes and techniques used by the many talented artists and craftspeople of the area. You will be able to browse through sketchbooks, learn about firing techniques for the pottery, talk informally to the artist, and see finished work. Christmas opening provisional dates: November 28th, 29th, 30th. Three locations in Bardon Mill village.

• Kielder Forest Festival 01 Aug Falconry, circus theatre shows, crafts folk Festival music, plus working forest visits. Family ceilidh the previous evening.
• Hexham Abbey Festival From: 17 Sep 2004 - 25 Sep 2004 Concerts in Hexham Abbey, Queens Hall and other venues.
• Conker Championship 16th October Held annually on Bardon Mill village green. Open to all ages. Enter on the day, all welcome. Grandmother's category (Bodecia cup).
• Sele Bonfire 06 Nov . Spectacular bonfire and firework display held annually on the Sele in Hexham
• Allendale Tar Barls Ceremony 31 Dec Allendale's spectacular pagan celebration. "Guysers" parade around the village with burning tar barrels then hurl them on the bonfire at midnight. Get there early to ensure a good view.
